About Our Name
Liberty Speaks name and pup in the logo is in memory of our beloved labradoodle, Liberty Belle.
Additionally, as a former Green Beret, Co-Founder Herb Thompson, has devoted his career to American Liberty preservation efforts.
Lastly, being a branding consulting agency with a focus on external communications and public relations, the later portion of the name was seemingly appropriate. We feel a few of our most coveted liberties are the ability to speak and learn.
Co-Founders Herb & Corrie Thompson
Herb Thompson is a retired Special Forces, 5th Group Green Beret, Team Sergeant. During Herb's military tenure, he also won the Drill Sergeant of the Year award. He is the only person in the history of the Unites States Army to have won this award and earn a Green Beret.
After his retirement, he earned his MBA from Cornell and authored an award-winning, best-selling book. He has been motivating, leading, and developing teams globally, for over 20 years.
Herb is currently an elite level global public speaker and public personality, offering an array of speeches and workshops to meet your audience needs. Herb participates regularly in podcasts and has many publications from his lessons learned and many inspirations. Herb will also be offering coaching guidance for executive public relations and guidance to corporate keynote speakers that join Liberty Speaks.
Corrie has been a Global brand and growth consultant for over 20 years. Her vast experience of brand consulting and speaker management has given her the ability to create content for social media, websites, and deliver learning & development sessions. She currently holds several technical and project management certifications. She is passionate about managing talented individuals motivated to grow.
The two met while working on a military transition project and quickly fell in love. They now reside outside of DC with their blended family and have dedicated themselves to supporting veterans and veteran families across the nation.
Seen as LinkedIn influencers, the two decided to form Liberty Speaks to utilize their own professional strengths to reach broader audiences and offer their cumulative expertise to continue to help others own their journey.
